Spoilers for later plots. I'll try to be semi-vague to avoid completely spoiling things. Read at your own discretion.

At one point, Kikuru gets really tired of Hitamuki being lewded by mobs. So, he takes her to a sage to get answers. Hitamuki unknowingly sits on a pillow affected by a powerful mana drain charm as they talk. However, Hitamuki is 100% fine due to her mana absorption rate being much higher than what the charm can pull from her.

Furthermore, monsters feed on mana and are able to tell Hitamuki is different from the average person. That's why they leech mana from her with the antics we see. She's just too good of a mana source to just kill for a one-time meal. There's also a reason why monsters don't bother with Kikuru either. I think it also explains part of why Kikuru's teachers were so hard on him. :)

she's a walking talking pheromone bomb/aphrodisiac as Kikuru was trying to figure out in manga. In their world/universe, stronger and richer mana means strong attraction to "nurse" from the host
